Life @ EDI (uncensored)

After spending a month here,
The hazy picture is a bit clear;
EDI pushes you to dream dare and deliver,
And, serves a scoop of management in entrepreneurship flavor.

While, some take it as a race for finishing first,
Others believe in satisfying their thirst;
Very few are the ones, who rise above this haste,
They take it easy and prefer enjoying the taste.

Now, moving on from this metaphorical accent,
I’ll tell you how the time was spent…….

The induction module stretched for 2weeks,
It was attended absolutely by the Geeks,
Outstation students went back to their home,
And the remaining ones chose Alpha-1, as the place to roam.

The guest lectures were an exciting affair,
Folks got a lot to share,
The pack consisted of entrepreneurs, alumni & a freedom fighter,
Their eloquence turned out to be a real ignitor.

The entrepreneurship was very well decoded,
The command: ‘Keep the fire burning’ was perfectly loaded;
Business jargons were also introduced in our life,
And the business idea was projected as our 1st wife.

I know most of you are bored listening to this E-matter,
Allow me to serve you a new platter,
This is full of your favorite cuisine,
With ingredients from hostel, mess and the college canteen.

We spent most of our time in making new friends,
Everybody promised each other of setting new trends,
Social media profiles were flooded with new pics,
Showcasing the talent of capturing ‘The Red Bricks’.

After teaming up with friends,
The sports field was brought back to life;
Some tossed the volley ball over the net,
Others used the TT table to survive.

Also, everybody munched on the Baraati khaana,
For a few days,
But, when the taste buds started eroding,
The Maggiewala provided alternative ways.

A few of those who enjoyed the meal,
Were busy negotiating some other deal,
They hunted for the AC room,
Which made them tired and they looked gloom.
And later when their wants were satisfied,
Their smile exhibited the practical example of ‘Customer delight’.
But, the cellphone signals are still a concern,
And, we still don’t know who can make it turn?

The bus ride to the Iskon mall,
Is another event worth to recall;
Everybody opted for taking up this call,
But, we did nothing accept increasing the number of foot fall(s).

With the advent of the seniors,
The EDI campus started to bustle,
And we praised them like our saviours,
From all types of trouble.

Now, as the course advances further,
The new avenues begin to nurture,
Till yesterday everything was new,
But, today onwards I’m an ‘EDIot’ just like you.
