Welcome Juniors
Hey Juniors!!! Mechanical Department ‘welcomes’ you,
As for our family you are new.
Let me introduce you to the Mech Block,
Where, you have to survive round the clock.
Starting with the E.G lab,
Just above the ceiling’s slab,
I hope you drafted your ideas well,
Nothing new for you to tell.
Next comes the Lab of Measurements,
It accommodate gauges and other instruments,
Practical adds more to your value,
Just connect the instrument and reading it will tell you.
Class room comes next to it,
Hope you know the scenario of the place, where you sit.
Next Lab is of Thermodynamics,
It includes Boilers and it’s bricks,
‘Prototypes’ appear to be fascinating,
and everybody faints while ‘Manual’ making.
‘Air Conditioning’ lab is still a mystery,
HMT lab shares same history,
These two labs are not known to me,
Why to take tension? Just be tension free.
Next comes the Lab of Mechanics,
You must have played with ‘Efforts & Tricks’;
By the side of the staffroom is departmental library,
Its unusual darkness is quite scary,
Although books are there for enlightening your mind,
Answer to your queries you will find.
Jumping from the 1s floor ....to he Ground level,
Let us restart our travel.
First comes the CAD/CAM section,
Meant for designing the ‘machine sections’.
Heading on to the 3-in-1 place,
With SOM-KOM-&-DOM as its face,
It is the place where UTM resides,
And mechanically charged Governor ball glides;
It is the place where machines talks,
In short we can say ‘Mechanical Rocks’.
Computer Lab lies next to it,
Making numerical formulae practically fit.
Next comes the Seminar Hall,
White board in position covers the wall,
Meant for briefings & paper presentations,
In short it accommodates lighter sessions.
I.C.E Lab lies by its side,
With doors open wide,
Based on the working of engine & its parts,
There you will find a scooter and open cars.
At last,
We are back to Seminar hall,
Where we are celebrating ‘the WELCOME call’,
So, Juniors, I think you liked this trip........
