Added another page to my age!

26years is quite a long time,
And this made me write another rhyme.
What to mention & what to leave,
the confusion does persist,
Because 'These Years' are difficult to compile,
It's a never ending list.

'These Years' were full of splendid experiences,
'These Years' were filled with lively substances,
'These Years' were about exciting moments & splendid places,
'These Years' were about interesting people & unforgettable faces.

'These Years' passed in fostering a common sense,
Although, many look for signs of its genuine presence! :)

'These Years' were about developing a pace,
Realising lately, that it's more important to leave a trace!

'These Years' were about upgrading from 'Uniform' to 'Formals',
'These Years' were about converting from 'diurnals' to 'Nocturnals'.

'These Years' were about understanding the good & the bad,
'These Years' taught exploring happiness when the situation turns sad.

'These Years' were about skipping a beat few times,
And, preserving those instances in life's time line!

'These Years' passed in learning ways to mitigate fear,
And understanding how small act of bravery gives a reason to cheer!

Twenty-six years of journey was like a roller coaster ride,
I enjoyed taking the twists & turns in my stride;
Which taught me that, 'Happiness stretches the life line',
So,
'Keep smiling', is gonna be the concluding line!

Have you ever felt the need,
to bring about a change with your deed,
to make someone smile,
to support someone walk a mile !

Have you ever endorsed your cause?
In the rush of life,
it's time to take a pause,
and think about what matters to you,
Give your old wish a life that is new.

Strengthen your belief,
and bond with people;
Set harmonics in sync,
and create 'a ripple';
A ripple that will bring a wave of change
and distant dreams would fall within range.

'Sustainability' is what we propose,
So, why to wait,
Let's Endorse !

Shut Up or Shut Down

 'The tale of two cities' has been heard by all,
Let's overhear a friend convincing other on a call :


The INTJ effect bonded us well,
And, we enjoyed the fun filled spell;
The potter's wheel was set in motion,
and the clay was fired with a 'friendship notion'.

The frequency was well matched,
The tuning was properly set;
Stories were shared,
Thoughts were paired,
Our discussions made people around,
behave like hearing impaired.

We laughed at foolishness of others,
And made it a point to praise our deeds,
We moved slowly to accommodate talking,
When others were busy comparing their speeds.

My PJs were incomplete,
till it drove you to apex of annoyance;
And you countered it well with 'philosophical theories',
that became a trademark of your flamboyance !

As the things started to settle,
An 'over reactive response' ruined the potter's art,
'Dosti' was put on stakes,
And, the warmth lost it's part.

Unfortunately,
Their ego weighed over value of their friendship,
Certainly neither of them realised the importance of keeping a gem-ship

How to mend the relationship,
They know it pretty well,
But both of them are waiting ,
for other to ring the bell !!!

Train to Delhi

I was busy completing my work sheet,

Not knowing that, a girl was fighting for a seat;

After getting down from my cozy zone,

I realized that she’s someone I have lately known.

She's a character from a wedding story,

of which I was also a part;

and the destiny brought us together again,

On board the same railways cart.

The happiness was evident on her face,

As she managed to get leave for next 15days;

But, the hunt for a seat wasn’t over yet,

And the impatience persisted till the things were set.

My boring journey became a fun affair,

We soon knew that we had a lot to share.

We munched on ‘Taka-tak’ as a means to survive,

The long neglected 'Cube' by us was then brought back to life.

Soon, I was facing a big challenge,

To solve mismatched blocks of the Rubik's cube,

And, before I could express my helplessness,

A written tip was passed, leaving me confused.

I blindly followed the rules mentioned on the chit,

and I was able to arrange the blocks in a perfect fit.

Later, I shared my experience of decoding 2048 game,

But, compared to 'the rubik's cube', it appeared lame.

  

All-in-all, the journey was fun,

and urged me to write (poem) another one....;)

Networking

 

Networking is a dynamic thing which can take anybody by storm,
And it is proven by the rate at which ‘Whatsapp’ groups are formed;
Where half of the members don’t have the clue,
Why the group was made and why they’re in the loop!
 
Networking doesn’t start during the formal session,
Instead it blossoms among people with common passion.
Whether it’s loitering around EDI Maggiewala,
Or sharing together ‘woh chai ka ek pyala’.
It‘s even catalyzed by sharing a puff,
Along with elements of intoxication termed as ‘stuff’.
 
Synergy based networking is of a different kind,
Generally, sports field is the place where it unwinds.
If one manages to hit a few smashes more,
Or able to put on board a challenging score;
Then he/she is considered to be a person to reckon with,
Then, the link is set and one can even bank on it.
 
Social Networking is the most popular one,
Out of addiction, people use it for fun;
The craziest one has the most happening timeline;
And mostly they end their conversation asking,
“Your place or mine?”
 
The geeky network is developed over taste,
Not in a restaurant but in a library space;
They devour upon books/magazines of all types,
And carry with them a sensible vibe;
“The gyaan” sharing sessions become their uniqueness,
And, they won’t mind whether it’s a corridor or a hostel mess.
 
The alfresco networking is a special category,
And it becomes for many a matter of worry,
“Should I go out with him/her’ appears to be a big question?
The cost-benefit analysis comes handy for finding the solution.
 
The preconceived network is exceptional class,
The study of personality forms the basis for the mass,
The individuals connect only if they’re high on compatibility levels,
Else the routes are separated irrespective of the distances you travelled.
 
The professional networking comes with different features,
Like exchange of cards and positive body gestures;
People meet and greet in engaging manner,
Exercising their learning of ‘communications’ banner;
As soon as the meeting is over, 
one start stomping feet,
and switches from ‘Sanskaari bapuji’ to ‘Yo-yo’ beats.
 
At last,
The networking is actually easy to crack,
Especially in B-school it’s a well-known fact;
But it appear that EDIots have come up with their own style,
and, they can sense 'business' just by the way you smile !!!

जयंतिलाल का चश्मा

कल कक्षा में हुआ एक अजब कमाल,
जब भागता भागता आया जयंती लाल;
हालांकि, वह हमेशा की तरह देर से आया,
लेकिन आज 'होमवर्क' के सारे प्रश्न बाना लाया.

सभी ने भौहें उचका के उसको 'आश्चर्य' से देखा,
लेकिन जयंतिलाल के माथे पे थी संजीदगी की रेखा;
'वैसे ही......जैसी आलोकनाथजी के चेहरे पे होती है,
जब उनकी बेटी के कन्यदान की रसम पूरी होती है !'

हढ़बढ़।हट में,
मास्टरजी ने भी तिरछी नज़रों से कॉपी को देखा,
हर उत्तर को बढ़े ध्यान से परखा,
तब मास्टरजी भी चक्कर में पढ़ गये,
की जयंतिलाल से कैसे यह सवाल बन गये?

मास्टरजी को अपने कठिन सवालों पे गुरूर था,
जिसको आज जयंतिलाल ने किया चकनाचूर था;
सवालों के ऐसे-ऐसे जवाब लिखे,
की मास्टरजी भी तारीफ़ में कसीदे पढ़ते दिखे....

'जयंतिलाल बहुत होनहार हो तुम,
अपने दोस्तों के लिए मिसाल हो तुम;
तुम्हारी यह कॉपी बुद्धिमत्ता का प्रतिबिंब है,
सभी विधयर्थीयों में तुम्हारा भविष्य ही स्वर्णिम है !!!'

यह सुन जयंतिलाल भी सोच में पढ़ गया,
'की उनका 'मास्टर' ज्योतिषी कब से बन गया?'

थोड़ा बिदक्ने के बाद,
उसने मुस्कुरा के आभार व्यक्ता किया,
और कक्षा की इस विडंबना को दूर किया:

उसने अंततः अपनी उपलब्धि का राज़ बताया,
और अपने नये 'लाल' ऐनक को लगाया.
यही 'ऐनक' था उसकी सफलता की निशानी,
जिसपे बन गयी एक पूरी कहानी,
लाल चश्मे ने बनाई जयंतिलाल की प्रतिष्ठा,
और शुरू किया एक असीम रिश्ता....

What's in the age?

One day,

I was talking to my younger cousin,

Who was busy fighting a virtual person,

and was subsequently thrown out in the last bout,

I asked for my turn, while he was in doubt.

But, he resisted citing an interesting reason,

He said I'm too old to enjoy 'the Play Station'.

I was surprised & irked at the same time.

Thinking, what was the logic behind quoting this line?

Then,the chain of thoughts occupied center stage,

And the question cropped up, 'What's in the age?'

When Mickey Mouse doesn't think of whom should he amuse,

When 'the Famous Five' can solve a criminal case after finding the clues;

When Harry Potter delighted everyone to its praise,

When Mr. Bean entertained without uttering a phrase;

When the newspaper offers everybody to flip through the same page,

Then, tell me folks, What's in the age?

Sometimes, a youngster can become an inspiration for many,

Not just for you, but also for your granny,

It might be because of one's style of making a penny,

But, the age surely doesn't create botheration for any.

When Justin Bieber can set twitter trends on fire,

No matter what Oprah Winfrey desire;

When 'Sanskaari' jokes sets everyone laughing out loud,

And being retweeted by Kim Kardashian leave them feeling proud.

The quirkiness with 140 characters makes a difference,

So, what's the point of seeking age as the reference?

When the season cycle remain same for all,

Some enjoy summers, others like fall,

It's more a matter of mood and nature,

How can age factor justify this feature?

Sometimes, a Lieutenant performs better than a Major,

Though both underwent the same training of becoming a soldier,

It just happen to have occurred in different time frame,

Where both enjoyed equal opportunities of the game;

But, one acted brave & exhibited courage,

That is what differs them, its not the age !

When social issues affects equally,

When the political constraints disturb mentally,

Then, an 'Aam-aadmi' factor consolidates this rage,

And raises the same question, what's in the age?

Even the friendship doesn't ask for the age tag,

And is catalyzed by elements of fun & gags,

If your expression is bound by the psychological cage,

Just ask, What's in the age ?  :)

Locked Up !!!

'Die another day',
that's what I always pray;
But, it all depends on an unknown fate,
of which I can't predict the date.

I know the meeting is fixed,
I know the life has been risked;
Still I'm unsure about, around which corner will it meet?
How pleasantly will it greet?

Is it the consequence of my fear taking over me?
Am I been locked up by my own key?

If yes, then what will set me free?
Undergoing introspection under the bodhi tree?
Or my proven skills to ignore and flee?
Or is it just a  psychological spree ?

The lateral thinking and the vertical thoughts,
it's an entagled situation where mind is caught;
How to proceed and where to go,
Which act is friendly and what poses as a foe?
 
The quest continues and troubles life,
Making it a challenge to survive !!!
