#APYF2016: PIYUSH AGRAWAL, INDIA

Interesting things bring back life in you,

And, offer an opportunity to share your views;

It happened in India, with Mr. Piyush this time,

Who took up #APYF2016 challenge to write a few lines;

No,it's not about the 'entrepreneurship studies',

Which he pursued as a post-graduation course,

Instead,it's about 'ecological environment',

showcasing his interactions with 'the natural source'!

Everywhere,

people have started to cough,

Not because of cold weather, 

instead,air pollution has made it tough;

Cheaper petrol made local horse carts obsolete,

Trade growth came with polluting trucks' fleet;

'Minor forest produce' is now commercialized so much,

Although, it supports livelihood,but sets aside human touch.

Sadly, Chipko movement has become history,

And,impact of deforestation is just a 'buzzing media mystery';

Floods & quakes have become part of life,

While,mine excavation resembles stabbing 'mother' with knife!

Stray plastic bags spoiled 'the humus',

While 'cheap fertilizers' flooded the fields without much of fuss!

Our pace of economic growth is taking toll on environment!

Though, when a calamity strikes, we ruefully repent;

But, 

we can collectively change the course,

by managing green energy instead of depleting natural resource!

Solar power may offset the harms of pollution,

Re-using cotton bags over polythene, can be a solution;

Making conscious efforts to reduce dependency on forests;

Incentivizing tree-plantation, will develop a positive Zest!

Tribals' have an eco-friendly way of life,

though slow, but, reflects a positive eco-drive;

Sharing their practices will benefit human race,

Lets make a combined effort, right now, in this phase!
